rOSE STREET

in june 2026, i participated in en plein air wokingham, a competition in which we had to create a painting in our chosen location on the day. i sat in rose street,which houses many listed buildings. i started with the drawing in brown ink as it gave it a nostalgic quality to it, alongside the rough and weathered cotton rag paper. i placed second in the competition, a result i was very pleased with!
